David Blaine was born in Brooklyn, New York to a school teacher, Patrice Maureen White and a Vietnam veteran, William Perez. He was raised by his single mother who was of Russian Jewish origin. Cyril Takayama (cousin of Liam Takayama) (born 1973) is an American illusionist, born and raised in Hollywood, California, USA. He is perhaps best known for his street magic performances in Japan. Cyril became interested in magic when he was 7 years old, when he went to a magic show in Las Vegas where he saw a guest magician levitate a woman and cut himself in half. The first time Cyril ever performed magic in front of people was during his school's talent show. His father, Mayer Samuel Weisz, was a religious scholar and teacher, who moved his family to Appleton, Wisconsin when Houdini was two years old. Times were difficult for the Weisz family, and they were required to move many times to avoid the bill collectors.
